Touch for Health 1
Kinesiology training course

Touch for Health Kinesiology part 1

This is part one of a five part practitioner course, certificated by the International Kinesiology College.

Touch for Health is a truly holistic therapy which combines a variety of massage techniques with acupressure, meridian therapy, emotional stress relief techniques, nutrition and goal setting to enhance health and well-being.

Touch for Health is non-invasive (recipients are fully clothed)and can be done anywhere (with the recipient standing, sitting or lying).
No experience is necessary to take part in this course.

During the training for part one, students learn:

  • to assess posture and muscle function.
  • how to goal set to help change habits and create positive attitudes to life.
  • to help improve body awareness, co-ordination, muscle function and posture.
  • to help relieve pain and emotional stress.
  • to improve the body's self regulatory and detoxification systems.
  • to improve lymphatic drainage and circulation.
  • to improve energy flow within the body.
  • to improve overall health.
  • to find out which foods enhance the body's energy.
  • how to apply these techniques via a surrogate to others.

At the end of part one, students have enough knowledge to perform a full balance on friends and family to benefit their health and well-being, plus they will have many techniques to improve their own well-being.
Students also receive a certificate from the International College of Kinesiology on completion of each two day part.

Further modules provide students with a greater depth of knowledge, including Chinese medicine theories, food testing, more bodywork assessment and correction techniques, further techniques in postural pain relief and stress relief, plus colour, sound and further meridian as a means of balancing the body.
On completion of the 5 parts, plus case studies, homework questions and an assessment, students qualify to practice as a Touch for Health Kinesiologist.

Day one: 9am - 6pm

Day two: 9am - 3pm

Day 2: 3pm - 5.30pm (optional for those interested in we and our animals reflect each other, and how this can impact on wellbeing)

The Touch for Health method is a great way of helping to improve rider and animal handler performance, to reduce stress and help them to achieve their goals.  Please also see the following workshop if you own or work with animals.

 Reflective animal behaviour

This is a behavioural workshop, which explores how we can mirror our animal's energy as much as they mirror ours.

Students will discuss how handling or touching each animal makes them feel.  They will then use energy balancing techniques on each other while in contact with, and observing animal behavioural responses / changes.  Finally, students will note any changes in the way they feel afterwards.

The aim is to develop sensitivity to our own feelings; how animals make us feel, and how we affect their behaviour, and to observe whether being balanced in ourselves has a positive affect on us and animals we are in contact with.
Students must have completed Touch for Health 1 Kinesiology training as this is the balancing methods students will be using on each other during this workshop.
